The COVID-19 pandemic catapulted clinical research into the forefront of healthcare because the trials are becoming sought-after patient care options. Tampa General Hospital’s chief medical officer and a clinical research administration expert from Huron Consulting Group will share experiences of rapidly adapting the clinical research operation in light of the pandemic while expediting the launch of COVID-19 trials. This presentation will cover the critical areas to be considered prior to accepting high-risk and/or high-profile trials and their impact on the entire organization. Presenters will share lessons learned, elaborate on how challenges are managed and reveal the legacy these trials will have on future research efforts.
