About Us

The South Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives is a 501(c)6 not for profit corporation headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. The Chapter is an officially-designated, fully-chartered, independent chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Our geographic service area includes approximately 50,000 square miles in the following South Texas counties:
Aransas, Atascosa, Bandera, Bee, Bexar, Brooks, Calhoun, Cameron, Comal, DeWitt, Dimmit, Duval, Edwards, Frio, Goliad, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Karnes, Kendall, Kenedy, Kerr, Kinney, Kleberg, La Salle, Live Oak, Maverick, McMullen, Medina, Nueces, Real, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Uvalde, Val Verde, Victoria, Webb, Willacy, Wilson, Zapata and Zavala.

STC-ACHE has two Local Program Councils (LPCs) to better serve members in the Coastal Bend and Rio Grande Valley areas. We provide a minimum of four educational events and approximately 12 face-to-face continuing education hours annually.

Our members actively support several Healthcare Administration programs in the area, including: Army-Baylor University Graduate Program in Healthcare Administration, Texas State University-San Marcos Department of Health Administration, University of the Incarnate Word Health Care Administration Department, Trinity University Health Care Administration Department, Our Lady of the Lake University, and University of Texas at San Antonio.
