Volunteer Event: The Saddle Light Center for Therapeutic Horsemanship

June 29 @ 9:45 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Join STC-ACHE members as we aid The Saddle Light Center in their mission to enhance the health of our community!  The Saddle Light Center is a non-profit organization that offers professional equine therapy to the disabled population of a wide range of ages in the San Antonio area to improve both their self-esteem and quality of life.

We are looking for at least 15 volunteers who like the outdoors, don’t mind getting a little dirty, and can tolerate curious horses watching over their shoulders 🙂

Projects to be accomplished:

-Cleaning 2 large water troughs

-Removing and cleaning all corner feeders

-Hosing down/cleaning overhead door

-Possibly cleaning some of the horse stall walls

Attire: You can choose to wear long pants or shorts, but we always suggest people wear sturdy closed toed shoes.

Summer Heat: There is a water jug, but with it being summertime, we suggest you bring your own, due to supply and demand at that time.

Age Limits: 16 years old and older only for this event.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
