This is the highest award bestowed by the South Texas Chapter of ACHE. Healthcare Administration Leadership Award Tomas Gonzalez, MD, MBA The purpose of this award is to recognize a healthcare executive, professional, or faculty member who has demonstrated leadership, vision, and excellence in the field of healthcare administration. Advancements or innovations could have been made in practice, education, research, or administration. Leadership could also have been shown through exceptional service in an elected or appointed position in a professional society or other organization or agency devoted to improving health care. Healthcare Administration Student Recognition Award Aurelia Pearson The purpose of this award is to recognize a healthcare administration student who has demonstrated leadership, high standards, and commitment to the field of healthcare administration. Leadership and high standards could have been shown through school projects and activities. Leadership and commitment could also have been shown through service in an elected or appointed position in a professional society or other organization or agency devoted to improving health care. Healthcare Administration Resident/Fellow Recognition Award Colonel George Patrin, MD, CHE The purpose of this award is to recognize a healthcare administration resident/fellow who has demonstrated leadership, high standards, and commitment to the field of healthcare administration.
