Mission, Vision, Values & Goals


Mission

The South Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (STC-ACHE) strives to

  • Be the professional membership society for healthcare executives.
  • Meet its members’ professional, educational, and leadership needs.
  • Promote high ethical standards and conduct.
  • Advance healthcare leadership and management excellence.
  • Promote the mission of American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

Vision

The STC-ACHE strives to be the premier professional society for healthcare leaders by providing exceptional value to our members.

 

Values

As healthcare leaders in our respective communities and as members of STC-ACHE and of the ACHE, we are committed to promoting the following values:

Goals (2004-2007)

Knowledge

  • Provide one (1) additional educational event in the South Texas area based upon input from the Local Program Councils on an annual basis.

Membership

  • Increase the involvement of uniformed service members in Chapter activities.
  • Develop a recruitment campaign to bring former members back to the STC-ACHE and ACHE.

Career Advancement

  • Initiate a mentoring program to provide for career development planning and to strengthen relationships between junior and senior level executives.

Resources

  • Increase the number of educational program sponsors to allow for underwriting of nationally recognized presenters.
  • Provide sponsorships to student members to support attendance at Congress on an annual basis.

Leadership Excellence

  • Increase the number of certified members by five (5) each year to provide a larger pool from which to elect future officers to the Chapter Board.
  • Endorse participation in the ACHE-sponsored Chapter Leadership Conference by the Chapter President and/or President-Elect on an annual basis.
  • Explore the possibility of participation in community activities to help raise awareness of the Chapter and its mission and vision.
  • Evaluate the Chapter bylaws on an annual basis.
