Nomination:

A nomination letter from a member of the South Texas Chapter of ACHE must be submitted electronically to the Past President, Chair of the Awards Committee or by mail to STC-ACHE Awards Committee,  P.O. Box 781054, San Antonio, TX 78278-1054 by August 31 of each calendar year.  The letter should provide information supporting the nominee based on the description and criteria above.  Supporting letters from non-members are also welcomed and encouraged.  Members may nominate an individual for one award per year.  Recipients may not receive more than one award per year and may not receive the same award twice.

Selection:

The Awards Committee will review the award nominations and determine if the nominees meet the award description and criteria.  The Awards Committee will be composed of at least 3 members of the South Texas Chapter of ACHE, including the Awards Committee Chair, the President, the Immediate Past President. Two members-at-large may be invited to participate.  The Awards Committee Chair will appoint the members-at-large and ideally assure some representation from the local program councils and non-board members.  If a single nominee meets the award description and criteria, he/she will receive the award.  If multiple nominees meet the award description and criteria, the Awards Committee will decide which nominee will receive the award through a simple majority vote.  If no nominees meet the award description and criteria, the award will not be given that year.  Members of the Awards Committee are not eligible for the award during their time of service on the committee.

Award:

Recipients will receive a plaque.  The plaque will be presented at the fall meeting (October  2010) of the South Texas Chapter of ACHE.  The award recipient’s supervisor and his/her supervisor’s supervisor will also be notified.
